Naming
Naming

A name that survives a real check

We select a company or product name and check it for conflicts. A slogan and an identity are not part of this work.

WHO IT IS FOR
Early stage

There is no name yet

The product or the company already has a meaning and nothing to call it. A working title survives only because no other name was chosen.

Growth stage

The name is too tight

The line has grown, and the old name either cannot hold the new meaning or blends into competitors in the category.

Scale stage

Portfolio names follow no logic

Several products were named by different rules. Customers cannot see what belongs to one brand and what stands apart.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Criteria: what the name must carry and what it must avoid
Long list: different naming logics, not one taste
Short list: options that pass the agreed criteria
Checks: category clashes, pronunciation, obvious conflicts
Argument: why the recommended name holds the job
Limits: we do not develop a slogan or a sign here

Frequently asked questions

and answers

Does naming include a slogan and a logo?+

No. Naming is the company or product name, and a check on whether it can be used. A slogan is a short message, and we do not write it here. Identity makes the sign after the name is agreed.

Do you check whether the name is legally clear?+

No. We look at language clashes, pronunciation and obvious occupancy in the category. A lawyer has to confirm a trademark. We will not recommend a name that plainly matches a known brand in your field.

Can the product carry the company name?+

It depends. If there is one product and no plan for separate lines, a shared name is often right. If the portfolio will grow, one name for everything gets tight quickly. We write that choice into the criteria.

How many names make the final list?+

It depends on how many options pass the criteria and the checks. We do not promise dozens. The short list holds only names that can be defended with an argument, not with taste.
