BuiltWith

A service that detects a site's stack: CMS, analytics, payments, pixels. We choose it to learn what niche competitors run on before choosing solutions.

WHY WE CHOOSE THIS

Choosing technology blind leads to solutions the niche can't carry. BuiltWith shows what competitors run on, so your own stack is built with the market in view, not on guesses about what is standard.

WHEN WE CHOOSE THIS TECHNOLOGY
TRIGGER 1

Competitor stack analysis

You need to understand which CMS, analytics and services sites in the client's niche use.

TRIGGER 2

Choosing project solutions

Before launch, it matters to see which technologies are common and proven in the market.

TRIGGER 3

Gauging a competitor's scale

The set of services on a site says a lot about a market player's maturity and approach.

HOW WE APPLY IT
01

Niche technology research

We look at what competitor sites are built on to understand market standards.

02

Justifying the stack choice

We rely on solutions common in the niche when proposing technologies to the client.

03

Audit before migration

We assess the site's current services to plan a move without losing features.

04

Finding integrations and services

We note competitors' analytics, payments and pixels worth considering for the client.

GVSPACE helped us build a consistent presence for EdPlit Polska on social media. The team took responsibility for managing our Instagram, creating content, and developing the account. Frequently asked questions

and answers to them

Ask a question
How is BuiltWith different from Wappalyzer?+

The task is similar; the difference is scale. Wappalyzer is handy for a quick check of one site, while BuiltWith has a broader database and market-level views: how many sites use a technology and what the trends are in a niche. For market research we use BuiltWith, for an instant check Wappalyzer.

How accurate is the data?+

Mostly reliable for technologies visible from the outside: CMS, analytics, pixels, payment services. But a site's internal solutions aren't always detectable, so we read the result as a picture, not a complete list.

Why does a business need this?+

It depends on the task. Before a launch or redesign it shows which solutions are proven in the niche, and in competitor analysis what competitors run on. For purely internal tasks it is less useful.

Does it replace a technical website audit?+

No. BuiltWith shows the external stack but doesn't assess code quality, speed or security. For your own site we combine it with a full technical audit.

We choose technologies with the niche market in view, not out of habit.

Website analysis with BuiltWith at GVSPACE is technology research: we see which CMS, analytics services, payments and pixels competitors run on, and which solutions have become standard in the client's niche. We use BuiltWith at the strategy, stack selection and migration planning stages for e-commerce, service businesses and corporate websites, combining it with a technical audit, so technology proposals rest on the real market picture rather than assumptions.
