SEO for Website Development

A site ready for search from launch

We build SEO into structure and code before launch. Developers get a spec, and the site does not need rework after release.

WHO IT IS FOR
Early stage

Building a site from scratch

Design and development are underway, but the page structure comes from the team's view, not from what people search for in Google.

Growth stage

Redesigning an old site

The old site brings traffic, and moving to a new platform risks losing it through changed URLs and structure.

Scale stage

New market or platform

The company launches language versions or moves to another CMS, and a mistake at launch costs months of traffic recovery.

Technical spec for developers: indexing, speed, markup, hreflang

Frequently asked questions

and answers

How is this different from optimizing a finished site?+

The cost of change. Once a site is live, changing structure or URLs means reworking design and code, plus redirects that put traffic at risk. During development these decisions are made once and correctly. Optimizing a finished site is for when it already works but does not grow.

When should an SEO specialist join development?+

As early as possible, ideally before the prototype. Page structure and navigation are set at the prototype stage, and if demand is ignored then, the design has to be redone. Joining at the build stage still helps, but some decisions are already more expensive to change.

Will we lose traffic after a redesign?+

Not necessarily, if the migration is prepared properly. Risks come from changed URLs without redirects, lost content and meta tags, or a staging site launched while still blocked from indexing. We build a redirect map and check the site before launch. Short fluctuations after a move can happen, but they are visible and can be fixed quickly.

Do you work with our developers or build the site yourselves?+

Both are possible. If your team or another contractor builds the site, we provide the spec and check the result at every stage. If you need a turnkey build, it can be ordered through GVSPACE web development, with SEO requirements included from the start.
