Brand positioning
Brand positioning

One position people can repeat

We choose one place for the brand against competitors. That is an agreed position, not a full strategy and not an identity.

WHO IT IS FOR
Early stage

No position has been chosen

The brand promises different things in different places. A customer cannot repeat the difference, because the team has not decided it.

Growth stage

Competitors sound the same

The category is growing and several players promise the same thing. Without one position, comparison collapses into price.

Scale stage

Several positions in one company

Products, regions or teams keep different versions of who you are. Customers and partners hear promises that contradict each other.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Choice criteria: what customers compare in the category
Occupied places: promises competitors already hold
Options: several possible places and the risk of each
One position: a line the team can repeat the same way
Proof: what holds the position now and what is missing
Promise limits: what the brand deliberately does not say

Alignment

We review the position with the people who speak for the brand and note where the line still splits.

Frequently asked questions

and answers

Does positioning replace a brand strategy?+

No. Positioning fixes one place for the brand against competitors. A brand strategy is the longer development plan and the architecture of brands. We do not design the identity here. The sign and the visual idea should rest on an agreed position, and that is separate work.

Can two products hold two positions?+

It depends. If they are different brands with different customers, each gets its own place. If it is one brand, a second position blurs the first. How several brands are arranged is brand strategy, not this service.

Do we need research before a position?+

It depends. If the facts about customers and competitors are already gathered and trustworthy, we start from them. If the place would be chosen by taste, brand research has to come first. We do not invent the market.

Do you guarantee the position will be remembered?+

No. We guarantee one agreed line and the proof it rests on. Whether the market repeats it also depends on the product, the materials and how the team holds the line in conversation.
