Frequently asked questions

and answers

How is a marketplace different from a price aggregator?+

A marketplace sells your product on its own platform: the customer places the order there, and you pay a commission on the sale. A price aggregator only compares prices and sends the buyer to your site, and you pay per click. A marketplace is easier to start without a strong site; an aggregator pays off better if your site converts well.

Which marketplace should we start with?+

It depends on the product category. Each platform has its own audience, fees and strong categories. We compare demand and competition in your category across several marketplaces and recommend where the start will be cheapest.

Is it worth investing in ads inside the marketplace?+

Yes, but with the numbers. Internal ads help new listings get the first sales and reviews, without which they don't rise in search. But ads sit on top of the fee, so we set bids so the sale stays profitable.

Will the marketplace take customers from our site?+

It partly can, so it matters to separate the roles of the channels. A marketplace works well for attracting new buyers, and the site works for repeat sales without a fee. We analyze prices and assortment in each channel so they don't compete with each other.
