IoT App

Devices controlled from a phone

We build mobile apps for connected devices. Pairing, control and data work reliably with real hardware in real conditions.

WHO IT IS FOR
Early stage

A device without an app

The hardware is ready or in prototype, but there's no app to connect it, and users expect to control everything from a phone.

Growth stage

Pairing fails, reviews suffer

Users struggle to connect the device, the connection drops, and bad reviews blame the app rather than the hardware.

Scale stage

Thousands of devices, no control

The fleet is growing, but firmware updates, diagnostics and support still depend on users contacting the company.

WHAT IS INCLUDED
Analysis of the device, protocols and user scenarios
Pairing and connection over Bluetooth Low Energy or Wi-Fi
Device control, settings and real-time status in the app
Sensor data: charts, history and event notifications
Over-the-air firmware updates delivered through the app
Backend and cloud for accounts, devices and data sync
Testing with real devices in different conditions
PROCESS

From request to result

[ 01 ]free · 30 min

Clarity Session

We look at the device, its protocols and what users should do in the app. You leave with the key technical risks. No sales pitch.

[ 02 ]14 business days

Discovery and prototype

Scenarios, connection architecture and a prototype on your device. You get a timeline and cost estimate.

[ 03 ]scoped per project

Development

We build the app and backend in iterations and test every build with real hardware.

[ 04 ]ongoing, monthly cycle

Release and growth

Store releases, connection and crash monitoring, new device features and firmware support.

Frequently asked questions

and answers

How is an IoT app different from a regular mobile app?+

Most of the complexity is in the connection with the hardware. The app must pair reliably, keep the connection stable, handle different phone models and Bluetooth versions and behave correctly when the device is out of range. That's why we test with real devices from the first iteration, not on emulators.

Do you work on the device firmware as well?+

The core of this service is the app and its backend. If your team or a contractor develops the firmware, we agree on the communication protocol together. If firmware work is needed on our side, we scope it separately during the assessment.

Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?+

It depends on the device. Bluetooth Low Energy suits battery-powered devices near the user, such as wearables and sensors. Wi-Fi suits stationary devices that need remote access and larger data volumes. Many products use both: Bluetooth for setup and Wi-Fi for daily operation.

Can the app work with devices from other manufacturers?+

Yes, if they provide documented protocols or an SDK. We check the documentation and test with sample devices during discovery, before estimating the work.
