Next.js Commerce / Medusa

A Next.js storefront paired with Medusa, an open-source commerce engine on Node.js. We choose it when sales logic goes beyond what SaaS platforms allow.

WHY WE CHOOSE THIS

Boxed platforms dictate how you sell: payments, discounts, warehouses. Medusa and Next.js give you a store whose logic the business defines, with no monthly dependence on someone else's limits.

WHEN WE CHOOSE THIS TECHNOLOGY
TRIGGER 1

Non-standard sales logic

Complex discounts, B2B pricing, multiple warehouses or bundles that a SaaS platform cannot handle without workarounds.

TRIGGER 2

Own the code instead of renting

The business wants to own its platform and not depend on a third-party service's rules and fees.

TRIGGER 3

The store is part of an ecosystem

Sales must connect with ERP, warehouse, CRM and a mobile app through a single API.

HOW WE APPLY IT
01

D2C brand stores

A storefront based on Next.js Commerce with server-rendered catalog for SEO and speed.

02

B2B portals with custom pricing

Medusa customer groups and price lists for individual prices and orders from a portal.

03

Multichannel sales

One Medusa backend with sales channels for the website, the app and other storefronts.

04

Migration from a SaaS platform

Moving catalog, customers and orders to your own stack while keeping SEO URLs.

Frequently asked questions

and answers to them

Ask a question
Wouldn't Shopify be simpler?+

It depends on the task. For a standard store, Shopify launches faster and costs less at the start. Next.js and Medusa make sense when sales logic is non-standard, there are many integrations, or the platform's monthly fees and limits already hold back growth.

How long does it take to launch a store like this?+

It depends on the catalog and integrations. A basic storefront is built on a ready template; more time goes into payments, delivery, syncing with accounting and data migration. We fix the timeline after reviewing your sales processes.

Who will manage products and orders?+

Your team, without a developer. Medusa has an admin panel for products, orders, customers and discounts, and page content can be connected through a headless CMS if needed.

Can Ukrainian payment and delivery services be connected?+

Yes, through modules. Medusa has a modular system for payment and logistics providers, so we connect LiqPay, Nova Poshta delivery or other services, or build them as separate modules for your process.

A store should run by the business's rules, not the platform's.

At GVSPACE we build headless stores on Next.js Commerce and Medusa for brands that have outgrown boxed platforms. Next.js handles a fast storefront that indexes well, and Medusa handles products, prices, orders and integrations with payments, delivery and accounting. We choose this stack for D2C and B2B sales, multichannel commerce and moving off SaaS platforms, when the business wants full ownership of its code and data.
