Marketplace

A platform both sides trust

We build marketplaces around the business model. Sellers, buyers and the platform get value from the first transaction.

WHO IT IS FOR
Early stage

A marketplace idea to test

You see a niche for a platform, but need to test demand from sellers and buyers before investing in a full product.

Growth stage

Growth outpaces the platform

Sellers and orders multiply, moderation and payouts are manual, and the platform slows down at peak times.

Scale stage

Ready-made engine limits

The marketplace runs on an off-the-shelf script, and every new business rule turns into a workaround.

Frequently asked questions

and answers

How is a marketplace different from an online store?+

An online store sells its own products. A marketplace connects many sellers with buyers and earns from commissions or subscriptions. That means seller accounts, split payments, payouts, moderation and dispute rules, which makes the architecture and legal side much more complex.

Should we start with an MVP?+

Almost always. The main risk of a marketplace is the chicken-and-egg problem: sellers come for buyers and buyers come for sellers. An MVP tests whether you can attract both sides before you invest in a full platform.

How are payments to sellers handled?+

Through payment providers that support split payments, such as Stripe Connect. The buyer pays once, the platform keeps its commission and the rest goes to the seller. The provider handles much of the compliance, but the legal model must be agreed before development.

Can we launch on a ready-made solution?+

Sometimes, for a quick test. Ready-made engines save time at the start but limit custom business rules. We compare options for your model and plan an architecture that won't need a full rewrite as you grow.
